TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho baseball dominated game one Friday against Treasure Valley 15-4 in seven innings and then scored in the bottom of the ninth to win game two 4-3 in non-conference action.
In the opener,
Makay Nelson was dominant on the mound, going six innings and giving up just one hit and one earned run with five strikeouts. Backing him offensively was
Bodie Cooper who went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and a double.
Kody Garvin finished the game with a home run, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Harrison Ramey also was 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In game two, the teams were tied heading into the ninth. In the bottom of the ninth,
Jake Boyd led off the inning with a single. He advanced to second on a ground-out by
Ethan Ibarra. Boyd stole third and then scored the winning run when
Cole Walters reached first on an error by the third baseman.
Parker Loutensock earned the win on the mound.
