PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team jumped out to a 10-0 lead to open the game and never looked back, beating Snow College 75-62 Friday in the semifinals of the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles will play North Idaho at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Region 18 Championship with the winner advancing to a district playoff against the District 1 winner.
CSI never trailed in the game with Snow, holding its largest lead in the second half with 11 minutes to play when the Eagles were up by 20.
Leading the way for CSI was
Abdoulaye Harouna, who knocked down five 3-pointers for the game. He finished the game with 20 points and four rebounds.
Ray Kasongo was the only other Golden Eagle that scored in double figures with 14 points to go with six rebounds and four blocked shots.
Fredrick Edmond added nine points, eight rebounds and four assists.
CSI will face a North Idaho team that upset Salt Lake Friday to advance to the championship. The Cardinals are one of only two teams to give CSI a loss this season.
