PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho defeated Snow College for the fourth time this season but the most important time, beating the Badgers 72-63 in the semifinals of the Region 18 Tournament.
With the win, the Golden Eagles will advance to the Region 18 Championship set for 5 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Salt Lake and USU Eastern.
Holly Blades knocked down four 3-pointers to help CSI to the victory and finished with 18 points and eight rebounds along with four assists.
Samantha Lubcke, despite sitting some of the second half, posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Denajha Kie added 12 points, four rebounds and six assists.
CSI knocked down 49 percent of its shots compared to 36 percent for the Badgers and out-rebounded Snow 45-30.
With the win, the Golden Eagles are secured a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament in Salina, Kansas.
