LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team battled through the first half against Impact Academy before running away with game Thursday, winning 106-79.
The top-ranked Golden Eagles held just a six-point lead at the half but Impact couldn't match CSI's depth late.
Geno Artison led five Eagles in double-digit scoring with 22 points. Others included
Darryl Gaynor (20 points),
Ar'Mond Davis (20 points,
Shaq Carr (15 points) and
Pape Diatta (14 points).
Davis added 10 rebounds and Carr added 12 assists to post double-doubles.
In the second half, CSI shot 57 percent from the field compared to 39 percent for Impact.
The Golden Eagles played Impact Friday in an exhibition only game. They travel to Salt Lake Friday and Saturday for the Salt Lake Invitational. CSI plays Western Nebraska on Friday and Casper College on Saturday.
