TWIN FALLS - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team improved to 7-0 Friday with a 86-54 win over Miles CC in the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational.
The Golden Eagles took a 24-9 first-quarter lead and never looked back.
CSI shot 43 percent from the field compared to 30 percent for Miles. CSI also forced MCC into 30 turnovers.
The Golden Eagles were led by
Alexia Mefi and
Brianna Osorio who both posted double-doubles.
Mefi finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds as well as three steals and two blocked shots. Osorio had 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Other CSI players in double figured included
Kandiss Barber with 13 points and
Samantha Lubcke with 11 points.
The Golden Eagles take on Arizona Western Saturday at 5 p.m.Â
In the earlier game, Arizona Western beat Treasure Valley 77-69.
