TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho held Treasure Valley to just three first-half field goals en route to a 98-47 win Friday in the opening day of the Wright Physical Therapy Invitational.
The Golden Eagles forced 18 first half turnovers and 30 for the game, while allowing just a total of 13 made field goals. On the other side of the ball, CSI knocked down 51 percent of its field goals and committed just seven turnovers.
CSI was led by Ar'mond Davis, who finished the game with 20 points and seven rebounds. Other Golden Eagles in double figure scoring were
Geno Artison (12),
Shaq Carr (10) and
Pape Diatta (10).
Austin Winegar led the Eagles on the boards with eight, while Diatta added a team-high five assists.
The Golden Eagles improve to 7-1 overall. CSI plays Arizona Western Saturday at 7 p.m.
In the early game, Arizona Western beat Western Nebraska 85-76.
