POWELL, Wyo. - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball jumped out to a 37-17 lead at the half against Gillette College Saturday and then maintained a big enough lead to win the game 79-64.
Keying the first-half attack for CSI was a 6-for-8 performance beyond the arc.
Leading the way with 3-pointers for the Golden Eagles was
Brianna Osorio, who tallied three.
Matti Ventling added two. Ventling ended the game with 14 points, while Osorio added 12 along with three steals.
CSI's top scorer was
Samantha Lubcke with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Alexia Mefi posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles return home Friday and Saturday to host the Wright PT/ICCU Tournament.
