TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team trailed most of the first half before dominating the second half en route to a 109-76 win over Columbia Basin CC in the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational.
The Golden Eagles trailed by as much as 10 points in the first half before climbing back into the game and taking its first lead with 5:16 left in the half on a free throw by
Ar'Mond Davis. CSI allowed just one more point the rest of the half and headed into the locker room with the 46-38 lead.
The second half was all CSI.
Pape Diatta posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds for CSI. Davis led the Eagles in scoring with 19 points and added five rebounds. Other CSI players in double-figure scoring included
Darryl Gaynor (12),
Marquis Godfrey (11),
Shaq Carr (14) and
Quincy Taylor (10). Carr added seven assists.
CSI, now 4-1 overall, play Chemeketa Saturday.Â
In the early game, Salt Lake CC beat Chemeketa 96-69.
