TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team earned a three-set victory over Western Wyoming 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 Monday and honored the seven sophomores that will be moving on next season.
The Golden Eagles were solid all night out-hitting Western Wyoming .221 to .100. Â CSI's serve kept the Mustangs out of system the whole match.
Alycia Wodke finished the match with three aces and four other Eagle players added two aces apiece.
Sophomore
Alexandra Espinosa led CSI with 11 kills, four blocks and five digs.
Tawnee Luafalemana added nine kills and five blocks.
Defensively,
Luana Thompson was outstanding. The freshman finished the match with 18 digs.
The Golden Eagles, now 27-3 overall, travel to Colorado Northwestern CC and USU Eastern this weekend. If CSI can earn at least one win, the Golden Eagles will host the Region 18 Tournament Nov. 6-7.
