TWIN FALLS - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho is one step closer to winning the Scenic West Athletic Conference title and hosting the Region 18 Tournament after beating the College of Southern Nevada 25-13, 25-12, 25-22 Friday.
The Golden Eagles rolled through the first two sets, posting 29 kills with just six errors and hitting over .400. CSI changed up its lineup in the third set and trailed early but came on late to finish off the match in straight sets.
Tawnee Luafalemana finished with 11 kills and four blocks.
Alexandra Espinosa added 10 kills and five digs.Â
CSI, now 25-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play, host Snow College Saturday at 1 p.m.
