TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team started slow, scoring just three points in the first three-and-half-minutes but then exploded, finishing the first half with 48 points and ultimately beating Colorado Northwestern 81-50 Thursday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
The Golden Eagles shots a blistering 57 percent in the first half from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc, led by
Holly Blades who knocked down three 3-pointers.
Blades ended the game with 15 points and five assists.
CSI did a good job distributing the ball all game, finishing with 25 assists.
Rachelle Owens had five to go with eight points and two steals. Guard
McClain Williams finished the game with seven points, four assists and five steals.
The Golden Eagles improve to 13-9 overall and 4-3 in league play.
CSI hosts USU-Eastern Saturday at 3 p.m.
