SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 3rd-ranked College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team managed to knock down just 3-of-6 free throws in the last 20 seconds of the matchup with #15 Salt Lake but it was enough for the Golden Eagles to slip past the Bruins 61-59 in a key Scenic West Athletic Conference game Saturday.
CSI was able to force two turnovers in the last 20 seconds as well so Salt Lake didn't have the chance to score.
Fredrick Edmond led the Eagles with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists.Â
Keonta Vernon added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
The win takes CSI to 20-0 overall and 5-0 in league play. The Golden Eagles are the only SWAC team still undefeated.
The Golden Eagles travel to North Idaho Saturday.
