RANGELY, Colo. - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team pushed its record to 16-0 with wins over USU-Eastern 85-84 Thursday and Colorado Northwestern 110-57 Saturday.
The Golden Eagles are now 3-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Against USU-Eastern
Keonta Vernon and
Fredrick Edmond were key, both finishing with 20 points and six rebounds apiece. Edmond added six steals.
In the Colorado Northwestern game, Ar'mond Davis got hot, scoring 20 points and pulling down eight rebounds along with six steals and six assists. Edmond was key again, finishing with 21 points and four steals. The Golden Eagles shot 62 percent from the field.
CSI won't take the court again until Jan. 2nd and 3rd in the Treasure Valley CC Tournament in Ontario, Ore.
The Golden Eagles will play Idaho Select on the 2nd at 4 p.m. and Treasure Valley on the 3rd at 7 p.m.
