TWIN FALLS - The #5 College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team opened its 2014-15 campaign with a 113-64 victory over Salish Kootenai Friday in the Hilex Poly Invitational.
Fredrick Edmond scores 20 points and pulls down eight rebounds in the first half to spark the Golden Eagles. He ended the game with 22 points.
CSI led by just 11 points at half but went on a 14-5 run to open the second half ad rolled from there.
Ray Kasongo finished with 11 points and nine rebounds, while
Keonta Vernon posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
CSI distributed the ball well, dishing out 17 assists but no one player had more than three.
The Golden Eagles play Impact Academy at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Snow College defeated Impact 116-72 in the early game.
