YUMA, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team traveled to Arizona Western College to take on South Mountain and 23rd-ranked Arizona Western Friday and Saturday, coming away with a 112-74 win over S. Mountain and an 87-79 victory over AWC.
The Golden Eagles, now 4-0, relied heavily on All-American
Fredrick Edmond. Edmond finished the weekend with 19 points and six rebounds the first night and 18 points and five rebounds the second night.
But CSI got plenty of help from other players.
Against South Mountain, three other players scored in double digits.
Ar'Mond Davis finished with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Tyson Smith added 18 points and
Austin Winegar had 17 points and four rebounds. Winegar knocked down 7 of 8 shots, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
In the Arizona Western game, Smith had another big game, scoring 25 points and dishing out six assists. Davis added 16 points and eight rebounds.
The Golden Eagles travel to Western Nebraska Friday and Saturday to take on Western Nebraska Friday at 6 p.m. MST Friday and Casper College at 4 p.m. MST Saturday.
