TWIN FALLS - The third-ranked College of Southern Idaho volleyball team inched closer to clinching the Scenic West Athletic Conference championship Thursday, beating seventh-ranked Snow College 25-21, 25-13, 25-19.
The two teams went back and forth early in game one before the Eagles pulled away.
Keying CSI's dominating game two and three victories were the block of Jessie Suemalo and the defense of
Lepeka Kalulu-Sugai. Suemalo finished the match with 10 blocks to go with her nine kills. Kalulu-Sugai posted 20 digs.
The Golden Eagles switched to a 5-1 offense this week and it worked well.
Katarina Kojic ran the CSI offense, finishing with 39 assists and five digs.
Natasa Savovic led CSI in kills with 12 along with eight digs. And
Kendall Brock added nine kills on no errors and four blocks.
CSI, 27-1 overall and 8-0 in SWAC play, host #10 Salt Lake CC Saturday at 1 p.m. It's a black out so where your black!
