SALT LAKE CITY - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team fell to Salt Lake CC 76-71 Thursday in the opening round of the Region 18 Tournament, ending its season.

Mechela Barnes scored 24 points to lead all scorers but it wasn't enough to counter double-digit scoring by four SLCC players.
The Bruins shot 50 percent from the field, 57 percent from beyond the arc and 86 percent from the free-throw line. The Golden Eagles managed just 38 percent from the field, 24 percent from the 3-point line and 60 percent from the free-throw line. CSI did out-rebound Salt Lake and only committed nine turnovers to the Bruins 15.
CSI finishes the season 15-16 overall.
