COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team fell to North Idaho College 69-63 Saturday, dashing its hopes of earning the No. 2 seed in the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles stand in third place and a win next weekend against USU-Eastern would secure the three seed.
CSI stayed close to the Cardinals all game but just couldn't push ahead, struggling to contain NIC's Katie Buskey who scored 26 points.
Golden Eagle Chakala Carthen scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead CSI.
CSI drops to 15-13 overall and 7-6 in conference play.
