Chakala Carthen scored 20 points and posted nine rebounds to lead the College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team past Salt Lake CC 61-57 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The win moves the Golden Eagles into a tie for second place in league standings with Snow, who fell to conference leader North Idaho. Salt Lake falls to fifth.
CSI used a stingy defense to beat SLCC, forcing the Bruins into 30 turnovers, while committing just 12.
The Golden Eagles go on the road for their final three games of the regular season.
