GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team took it's winning streak to six games with four wins against Colorado Northwestern CC, beating the Spartans 14-2 and 14-1 on Friday and 8-5 and 8-1 on Saturday.
Leading the way for the Golden Eagles at the plate was Kyle Beverley and Blake Lively. Beverley went 4-for-7 at the plate with four RBI and five runs scored. He walked six times to post a .714 on-base percentage. Lively finished the weekend 5-for-11 with a triple and six RBI. He also had two stolen bases.
On the mound, Casey Lish and Preston Olson each picked up wins without giving up an earned run. Mike Renner also dominated on the mound, going six innings for a win with 10 strikeouts and giving up only two walks and one earned run in a victory.
The Golden Eagles, now 18-13 overall and 7-8 in SWAC play, hosts College of Eastern Utah Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon.
