LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team led by as much as 21 points in the second half against 7th-ranked Three Rivers CC, before beating them 78-73 to take third place in the Holiday Hoops Classic Saturday.

Josten Thomas paced the Golden Eagles, each scoring 18 points and combining for 13 rebounds.
CSI still struggled with turnovers, ending with 27 but improved from the free-throw line, knocking down 76 percent on 28 of 37 shooting.
CSI, which hosts Idaho Select Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. in the CSI Gymnasium, improves to 10-5 overall.
