  Before CSI: Josten Thomas played basketball at Montrose Cristian High School as a sophomore, National Christian Academy in Maryland as a junior and God's Academy in Texas as a senior. According to Mid-Atlantic Hoops, he was the second best player in the DC Metro area his junior year. Metroplex Hoops had Josten ranked as the fourth-best player in Texas while he played at Gods Academy. While there, he averaged 32.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
