Maxwell James begins his first year as an assistant coach with the College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Program under Head Coach Andria Harshman.
James joins the Golden Eagles from Michigan Tech, where he was a student assistant in 2022, a graduate assistant in 2023 and one of the assistants in 2024.
"CSI Volleyball is excited to welcome Max to our team," Harshman said. "Coach James' expertise and knowledge is going to be a great asset in helping CSI, and will continue to take our program to the next level."
While at Michigan Tech, he primarily worked with blocking and middle hitters. He also helped with recruiting, player development, team travel, video and statistics breakdown.
James earned his bachelor's degree in statistics from Michigan Tech in 2023 and his MBA in 2024.
He also was a four-year starter for the Huskies from 2020-2024 and served as club president in 2023. He earned first team All-Wisconsin Volleyball Conference honors in 2024.
"I am beyond thrilled for the opportunity to join the Golden Eagles at CSI," James said. "Coach Harshman is a great coach, and I am excited to gain experience under her tutelage. I cannot wait to help this program grow and reach new heights while working with such amazing group of young women."
