Keri Coats joined the Golden Eagles in 2013 after coaching high school volleyball for five years at Meridian High School in Meridian, Idaho. While there, she was selected as the 5A SIC Coach of the Year for the 2011 season. Coats also coached club volleyball for nine years, including stints at Boise River Volleyball Club and Sooner Volleyball Club. She currently is club director for Club Canyon.
Joining up with CSI brought Coats back to her hometown. Being a Twin Falls High School graduate meant that CSI was basically in her backyard. She signed on to play volleyball for the Golden Eagles for the 2001 and 2002 seasons, where her teams finished fifth and third at the national tournament. After CSI, Coats transferred to the University of Oklahoma. She competed for the Sooners during the 2003 and 2004 seasons, her senior year being coached by current head coach Santiago Restrepo.
Coats is a certified personal trainer.
