Randy Rogers is entering his 24th season as the head women’s basketball coach at College of Southern Idaho. In that time, Rogers has become the all-time winningest coach in CSI women’s basketball history.
Never settling for mediocre, he brought a relentless pursuit of perfection to CSI. While being consistently ranked in the NJCAA top 20, the College of Southern Idaho is known as one of the elite programs in the country. He believes the four D’s (Dedication, Drive, Desire, and Determination) are the key to success. An intense coach, Rogers focuses on teaching fundamentals and playing aggressive hard-nosed defense. His philosophy is simple - work hard and positive results will follow.
Since he took over the helm in 2002, Rogers has posted an overall record of 561-182  and a region 18 record of 286-94. During this period Coach Rogers has been named SWAC Coach of The Year 10 times (2003-04, 2004-05, 2007-08, 2008-09, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2020-21, 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2024-25 as well as District Coach of the Year in 2003-04, 2004-05, 2007-08, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-16) and 2020-21. The Golden Eagles have won the Region 18 championship twelve times, with four runner-up titles. Rogers picked up his 500th win on January 21st, 2023 with a win over Colorado Northwestern.
In 23 years Rogers feels privileged to have coached 25 All-Americans, 61 academic All-Americans and has helped 111 players continue on to four-year colleges and universities (Texas A M, Arizona, Oregon State, Boise State, Texas Tech, Colorado State, Georgetown etc…). Five players have continued their basketball careers in the professional ranks.
Rogers came to CSI from Spring Creek High School where his teams qualified for the state tournament in each of his five seasons. He was named coach of the year in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. He holds a conference record of 50-10 (.833) and an overall record of 92-49. Rogers earned his bachelor's degree from Utah State University in physical education. Prior to attending Utah State, he attended Salt Lake CC and Dixie State College.
Rogers has four daughters: Tristan, Lauren, Kyla, and Jordan. He is married to Ida.
