Josh Edwards begins his seventh season with the College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team but his sixth on staff as a paid assistant.
Edwards, who was a volunteer assistant his first season helped the Golden Eagles to a Region 18 Championship and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
"I am so excited to be a part of this era of CSI Women's Basketball," Edwards said. "Coach Rogers brings a level of excitement to this program that is tangible."
Prior to coming to CSI, Edwards was the head boys' basketball freshmen coach at Chattahoochee High School in Georgia for one year. He also assisted with the varsity, helping them qualify for the 6A state tournament. In 2013-2014, Edwards was a graduate assistant for the University of Pikeville Women's Basketball team.
Edwards graduated with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from St. Catherine's College in Springfield, Kent.
"I am lucky to have Edwards as my assistant coach," said CSI head coach Randy Rogers. "He has a great understanding of the game of basketball, is very organized, works hard and has a great rapport with the players."
