Biography

  Before CSI: MeChel excelled at basketball and softball at Fremont High School. She earned all-state honors in both and came to CSI originally as a basketball player. After playing for the Golden Eagles last season in the gym, she took her game outside and switched to softball.
  Mechel lettered three years in softball FHS, earning first team all area honors twice, second team all-state once and first team all-state once. She also was selected to the 5A all-star team her senior season.
