Morris Bethea joins the College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Program for the 2022-2023 as an assistant coach. A Virginia native, Bethea most recently served in the same role at Warner Pacific University in Portland, Ore. At WPU, he oversaw player skill development, recruiting, film breakdown and practice planning.
"We are very excited about the addition of Coach Bethea to our basketball program," said CSI Head Coach Jeff Reinert. "His energy and passion for the game has already made an impact on our team. Being that his playing career was in the recent past, Mo has been able to build a strong rapport with our players and make a positive impact on our individual skill development program."
Prior to his two seasons he has served as an assistant coach at WPU, he experienced a successful playing career there. He helped lead Warner Pacific to two national tournament appearances and two "Sweet 16" runs. Throughout the course of his playing career, he made his mark on the record books, currently sitting at seventh in 3-point field goals made, eighth in 3-point field attempts, eighth in games started, 12 in total minutes played, 15th in assists, 16th in steals and 20th in game played.
He is joined by his girlfriend Morgan on his move to Twin Falls.
