Chris McMillian begins his first season as assistant men's basketball coach at the College of Southern Idaho. McMillian comes to CSI from the University of Hawaii where he served most recently as the team's Director of Basketball Operations.
McMillian worked as the team's strength coach and video coordinator the two years before to that.
McMillian also served as director of operations at Centenary College in 2008-09.
Prior to working at the University of Hawaii and Centenary, McMillian spent six years as a personal trainer and performance specialist in Phoenix, Ariz.
McMillian was a standout basketball player at the University of Wyoming during the time that former CSI basketball coach Steve Gosar was on staff with the Cowboys.
As a player, he helped the Cowboys to two Mountain West Conference Championships and one NCAA Tournament berth. McMillian finished his career ranked third all time in assists and second for consecutive games started. He currently ranks 10th in career assist average with 3.5 per game and sixth in career steals with 136.
A native of Brea, Calif, McMillian graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2003 with a degree in communications.
