Kevin Lofthus

Kevin Lofthus begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Golden Eagles. But he is very familiar with CSI Baseball.
Lofthus, from San Diego, Calif., played for CSI in 1985 and 1986 and was a key member of the NJCAA National Championship Golden Eagle squad. He was selected all region and distric player of the year as well as All-American while playing at CSI and made the all-tournament team at the JUCO World Series.
After his two years at CSI, Lofthus transferred to UNLV, where he was named a two-time All Big West selection and a 1989 first team All-American.
Lofthus was drafted by the Oakland A's and played in the organization for three years befor a wrist injury ended his playing career.
He has coached all levels of baseball from youth to NCAA Division 1 and has spent the past three summers as the hitting coach for the San Diego Force summer collegiate team, helping them to three straight NBC World Series appearances.
In addition to coaching, Lofthus has been a Realtor since 2001.
He has a daughter - Danya.
