CSI Baseball Camp

The 2019 camp is our 37th anniversary. The cost of the camp is $250 for 2 1/2 days of instruction or $225 for return campers.The camp offers excellent instruction in hitting fundamentals, pitching, fielding, catching, and base running.

Camp instructors are present and past professional players and college coaches that are dedicated to teaching fundamentals. Thirty-four years of great camp experiences have provided our campers with success in high school and college.

Our camp has many advantages because of its great facility (70,000 square foot indoor facility) and excellent baseball environment. Return campers have a great advantage because of their experience and skills learned previously from their attendance.

CSI Baseball camp is geared toward the 10 - 18 age group. If you have any questions please contact one of the camp coordinators, Nick Aiello or Boomer Walker.

Camp Directors - Skip Walker and Boomer Walker

Jim "Skip" and Boomer Walker have built a nationally respected baseball program at CSI with a national championship and many appearances at the national tournament. It makes a statement about the hard work and dedication in their coaching fundamentals.

Camp Description

Hitting - The staff will provide expertise in teaching balance, weight transfer and swing path. Learning the fundamentals from the ground up gives an individual a sense of what starts the weight transfer and leads to the swing. Drill in hitting in the tunnels will lead to better skills.
Pitching - The staff will break down the different aspects involved in the windup as it pertains to balance and weight transfer. Learning the grips for different pitches and performing defense from the mound will add to the pitcher's experiences.
Outfield - The staff will provde the outfielder the opportunity to acquire skills in throwing, catching and fielding their position. Complete coverage of outfield play will be covered.
Infield - The staff will stress fielding techniques by improving the fielder's footwork, balance, throwing motion and timing-rhythm to the ball. A breakdown by position, with coaches giving instruction in the different aspects for that position.
Catching - The staff will provide instruction to develop better skills in receiving, blocking and throwing.

The Camp Staff Will Include

Jim "Skip" Walker - Co-Camp Director and College of Southern Idaho Hitting Instructor. Former Head Coach at the College of Southern Idaho and former coach of USA Senior and Junior teams.

Boomer Walker - Co-Camp Director and Head Coach at the College of Southern Idaho.

Nick Aiello - College of Southern Idaho pitching coach. Former pitcher in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.

Shawn Humberger - Infield/hitting instructor. C.S.I. All-American and is currently a very successful head coach for Albertson's College.

Tim Stadelmeir - Catching/hitting instructor. Assistant coach at Twin Falls High School.

Christian Colonel - Infield instructor. Former Colorado Rockies player.

Jared Price - Catching Instructor. Former Catcher for the Kansas City Royals, Head Coach at Minico High School

Bobby Rinard - Outfield Instructor. Current recruiting coordinator for Dixie State University.

Tyler Mildenberg - Infield Instructor. Current CSI Assistant Coach.

John Bridges - Infield Instructor. Current Coach at Idaho Falls High School.

Extra Sessions:

Early Bird Fielding, Spring Training Hitting, Art of Pitching and Mastery of Catching are designed for the camper who wants additional instruction and participation. These sessions are offered each night of the camp and are limited to a first come basis. They fill up early, so be aware. There is a $50 additional fee for two one-hour sessions.

Cost:

You receive two and a half days of quality instruction for the rate of $250. This includes a Golden Eagle camp shirt and insurance. A $50 deposit must accompany your application. The balance is due before the first session. Cancellations after December 23rd are subject to a $50 charge.

Hotel Cost:

Campers are responsible for their own lodging. We have commitments from two hotels which are giving great rates. The block will only be held until Dec. 15th.

When making reservations, please make sure you request the camp rate.

What to Bring:

Campers need to bring their own baseball gear ie. glove, spikes, baseball pants or sweats, cap etc... Catchers need to bring their own catching gear. Campers may bring their own bat
