Biography

    At CSI: Gerson played in all but one game for CSI his freshman season, starting in eight. He ranked third on the team in blocked shots and fourth in field goal percentage. He also was key on the boards, ranking fourth.
    Before CSI: Gerson played for four different teams in Brazil, finishing in 2009 on the Clube Esporte Pinheiro junior team.
    He played in the junior state tournament championship game in Sao Paulo in 2008 and his team placed second.
    On that team, Gerson averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds.
    In 2010, he played in the Adidas Nationals in Chicago, Ill. for Team Latin America.
