OREM, Utah - The CSI Men's Cross Country team kicked off the new season with a solid showing at the Utah Valley University Invitational Saturday morning, taking home a fifth place team finish. 
The fifth place finish was the second strongest showing among NJCAA programs, as they were sandwiched between SWAC foes Snow, in fourth, and Salt Lake in sixth. The top finisher for the Golden Eagles was Ben Ricks, with a time of 15:15.04 in the three mile race. Other top finishers for CSI were Grayden DeVries with a time of 15:22.84, Ben Jensen, with a time of 15:25.22, Finn Rutledge, at 15:38.77 and Dalton Noblit with a time of 15:47.39. 
The team will gear up to head back down to Utah next week to compete in the Beehive Invitatinal in Salt Lake City on Thursday.
