TWIN FALLS, Idaho - There is no place like home for the 7th-ranked CSI Volleyball team, as they opened up their annual STARR Corporation Invitational with a dominant win over Treasure Valley Community College, rolling to a 25-10, 25-17, 25-17 sweep Thursday night.
The Golden Eagles jumped ahead early and never looked back as they hit .303 as a team and eight players registered multiple kills on the night. Freshman
Nana Lobzhanidze led the way with a game high 13 kills, while
Amanda Uren and
Brinley Bybee added seven and six kills respectively. Bybee also made an impact on the defensive end with 12 digs, matched by
Emerson Heatwole to lead the team.
Dalayni Brindley and
Mary Irwin each dished out 16 assists in the win.Â
The Golden Eagles will be right back on their home floor two more times this weekend, as the STARR Corp Invitation is just getting under way, CSI will take on Central Wyoming tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. and will round out the weekend against Western Nebraska on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.Â
