WORLEY, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho finished with 20 hits and dominant pitching to beat North Idaho 7-0 and 13-4 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Emerson Fuller shined in game one, giving up no runs on just one hit to stifle the Cardinal bats. She also had four strikeouts.
Offensively,
Rilyne Keck had a two-run home run and
Lexi Crowley had a three-run home run.
Camryn Guest was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and
Anslie Yazzie was 2-for-4.
Golden Eagle
Marissa Mauger was pitching a one-hit shutout going into the bottom of the fifth inning with two outs in game two before North Idaho rallied with three hits, including a three-run home run. CSI still finished with the run rule as
Ella Farrell came in to shut the door, getting the strikeout to end the game. Mauger only gave up four hits on the day with five strikeouts.
Keck was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI and Yazzie was 2-for-4 with a double and home run and five RBI.
Kyli Carrell was 2-for-4.
Jade Romero also had a double.
CSI, 20-9 overall and 11-3 in conference play, takes on North Idaho again for a doubleheader Saturday.
