TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to Colorado Northwestern 3-1 before rebounding for the 13-3 game two run rule Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles couldn't get their bats going in game one, managing just two hits - one by
Cade Burnham and one by
Crew Secrist.
Kyson Giles took the loss, pitching six innings and giving up three earned runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts.
Caden Fenger pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
Game two was all CSI.
Ryder Cutlip had the hot bat, finishing 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double and eight RBI.
Tayson Howard was 2-for-3 and
Crew Secrist and
Tyson Staheli were each 2-for-4. Staheli had three RBI.
Cooper Thompson was 1-for-2.
Degan Rigby got the win, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up three runs on five hits with four strikeouts.
Caymen Kap pitched the final out.
CSI, 38-10 overall and 14-5 in conference play, hosts Colorado Northwestern for sophomore day Saturday at 11 a.m.
