TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 24th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team lost to 18th-ranked Salt Lake 10-2 and 9-3 Saturday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Golden Eagles struggled to string hits together all day, finishing with 10 hits on the day.
In game one, Kylie Carrell and
Lily Heitz each hit home runs.
Emerson Fuller took the loss, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up seven earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts.
Marissa Mauger pitched one inning, giving up no runs on no hits.
CSI's
Maile Ha'o hit a home run in game two, while
Lexi Crowley had an RBI-double.
Sophia Bristow earned the loss, pitching 5.1 innings and giving up five earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.
Adi Brooks pitched 1.2 innings in relief, giving up one earned run on two hits with one strikeout.
CSI, 10-8 overall and 2-2 in conference play, travel to Ephraim, Utah, next week for a doubleheader against Snow College.
