CSI Men's Basketball finishes as national runner-up

HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team finished a fairytale season as the NJCAA National Tournament Runner-Up, falling to top-seeded Howard College 82-67 Saturday in the championship game.
The Golden Eagles led by five points early in the second half but Howard flexed back and got hot late in the game to pull away.
CSI shot 37 percent from the field in the second half. Howard shot 61 percent and that proved to be the difference. The Golden Eagles were almost perfect from the free-throw line, finishing 21-of-23 for 91 percent.
Ben Thornbrue led the Golden Eagles with 21 points and three rebounds. Jalen Lyn added 19 points. 
Ace Reiser posted seven points, three rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Nathan Ahner had six points, eight rebounds and three assists.
On the inside, Guygustone Kasenga had six points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
Cooper Kesler came off the bench to score eight points and pull down seven rebounds.
The Golden Eagles finish the season with an impiressive 34-3 overall record, a Scenic West Athletic Conference Title, a Region 18 Championship, a District Title and a national tournament second-place finish.
