TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The Golden Eagles won their 27th straight game Saturday, beating USU Eastern 10-5 and completing the four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference sweep.
CSI trailed 4-0 going into the fourth inning but climbed back into the game quickly, scoring one in the fifth and six in the sixth to cruise to the win.
Ryder Cutlip was 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
Stockton Fowlks and
Mack Evans were each 2-for-5 and
Stetson Critchley and
Cooper Thompson were both 1-for-3. Critchley had two RBI and Thompson had a double.
Braxton Yates started the game, going four innings and giving up two earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
Kaleb Doty closed it out for the win, pitching the final five innings, giving up just on run on one hit with four strikeouts.
CSI, 28-5 overall and 4-0 in conference play, travels to Colorado Northwestern next week.Â
