TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 12th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team shot just well enough to get past North Idaho 55-43 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles shot 23 percent in the first half from the field and were 0-for-10 from long range. They improved to 48 percent from the field and 47 percent from the 3-point line to pull away in the second half.
Ashley Garner came one rebound away from tying the game rebound record of 24. The sophomore finished with 23 rebounds and 10 points along with two assists and two blocks.
Samara Morrow led the Golden Eagles in the scoring colum with 17 points and in assists with six.
Savannah Stoker was one point away from a double-double, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds as well as three assists and two steals.
Ziah Greybull added six points and seven rebounds.
Maci Hess came off the bench to score eight points and pull down four rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, 22-3 overall and 8-2 in conference play, travel to Salt Lake CC and Colorado Northwestern next week.
