TWIN FALLS, Idaho - CSI Volleyball Sophomore Vivian Goto paced the Golden Eagles offensively over the weekend, leading to two pivotal home wins over Snow College and a Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor.
Goto kicked off the weekend with a team high 12 kills on 32 attempts to help the Golden Eagles knock off the 14th-ranked Badgers on Friday in straight sets. She ultimately saved her best for last, as on Saturday, the Japan native logged a career high 25 kills on 50 attempts, with just one error, good for a .480 hitting percentage, in the Golden Eagles four-set game two victory.
On the weekend as whole, Goto hit .365 with 37 kills, while pitching in 20 digs and a season high three service aces on Saturday.
Goto and the Golden Eagles look to maintain their momentum as they head into another impactful weekend set with Salt Lake Community College as the two teams are currently tied for first place in the Scenic West standings. The two-game set will begin Friday night at 6:00 p.m. and conclude with game two on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
