JEROME, Idaho - The CSI Men's Soccer team dropped their second match of the week, as a hot start slipped away against 3rd-ranked Salt Lake, as they fell 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Following a scoreless draw against the Bruins a few weeks ago, the Golden Eagles got off to a dream start as
Felipe Argento found the back of the net in the third minute to push the home eleven out front early. The Golden Eagles were unable to build off the early momentum as the Bruins were able to equalize in the 10th minute, followed by a second strike in the 40th minute to take a one goal lead into the half.
The Bruins were able to keep the pressure on the whole second half, while the Golden Eagles continued to struggle to create opportunities, finishing with just three shots on the afternoon. The Bruins were able to double their goal total, with scores in the 67th and 74th minutes to pull away for the 4-1 victory.
The Golden Eagles, now 4-4-2, will try to right the ship as they travel to take on in-state rival, nationally ranked North Idaho College on Thursday, October 15th.
