COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team used a stingy defense to beat North Idaho College 78-51 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles forced 23 turnovers, scoring 21 points off those turnovers and out-rebounded the Cardinals 33-24.Â
Three CSI players scored in double figures led by
Samara Morrow and
Calyn Wood each with 17.
Savannah Stoker scored 16 along with a team high six rebounds. Morrow led the Golden Eagles with five assists.
Off the bench,
Maci Hess finished with four points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists.Â
The Golden Eagles shot 47 percent from the field and 41 percent from long range.
CSI, 15-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, travels to Colorado Northwestern and Salt Lake CC next week.
