TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team beat North Idaho College 25-21, 25-11, 25-21 in its first Scenic West Athletic Conference match Saturday.
The Golden Eagles swapped points in game one until they pulled away late but CSI rolled after that led by middle blocker
Mina Benucci.
The sophomore finished with nine kills on 10 attempts with no errors and added a team-high eight blocks.
Vivian Goto posted 12 kills along with four digs, while
Isabel Smart added eight kills and five blocks.
At the setter position,
Dalayni Brindley led the Golden Eagles with 22 assists and added seven digs.
Defensively,
Emerson Heatwole and
Hazuna Akishige each had a team-high nine digs.
CSI, 12-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play, hosts Colorado Northwestern Thursday and Salt Lake CC Saturday.
