SPANISH FORK, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Rodeo claimed the second-place spot at the Utah Valley University Rodeo this past weekend with the CSI Men's Team taking fifth.
The Golden Eagles had a couple event winners.
Dahl Winters took first in Bareback Riding and continues to lead the Rocky Mountain Region standings through three rodeos.
The other event winner for the Golden Eagles was
Ellie Thurgood in Breakaway Roping.
For the men,
Ashton Zabriskie took second in Bull Riding with
Mason Reine close behind in third.Â
Three CSI cowboys placed in Tie Down Roping and two in Steer Wrestling.
Trevor Burdick took fourth in Tie Down Roping with
Oran Davis and
Cade Johnson tied for eighth.
Chase Andrade placed fifth in Steer Wrestling and
Landen Roggenkamp was seventh.Â
On the women's sde,
Celie Davis took second in Barrel Racing and
Hayden Corta was fourth in Goat Tying.Â
The Golden Eagle Women continue to impress, standing in first place overall in the region standings with 1,010 points. Utah Valley is in second with 665 point. The men are in fourth place with 1,100 points. Southern Utah and Utah Valley are tied for first with 1,600 points.
CSI next competes Friday and Saturday at the Utah State University Rodeo in Logan, Utah.
