SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Soccer Team gave third-ranked Salt Lake CC all it could handle Thursday, playing to a 1-1 tie in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Dani Gross gave the Golden Eagles the lead at the 48:26 mark in the second half on an assist by Jael Montalvo. If CSI could have held Salt Lake the rest of the way, the Golden Eagles could have handed the Bruins their first loss of the season.
But Salt Lake answered with a goal five minutes later and that would be all the scoring for either team.
Kirstine Kent finished the game with five saves in the goalkeeper position.
CSI, 3-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play, travels to Colorado Northwestern Saturday.
