TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team won the Scenic West Athletic Conference Title, the Region 18 Championship and showed its depth in the postseason with seven players earning All-Region 18 Team awards.
The Golden Eagles had six named to the first team and one to the second team.
Emerson Fuller (pitcher),
Courtney Christiansen (catcher),
Adi Hansen (outfield),
Lexi Crowley (outfield),
Anslie Yazzie (infield) and
Abbie Banning (infield) were all all selected to the first team.
Lily Heitz (infield) was picked on the second team.
Fuller finished the season with a 14-1 overall record, a 2.67 ERA and 52 strikeouts. The freshman did not lose a conference game all season and pitched a shutout to open the Region 18 Tournament.Â
Behind the dish for the Golden Eagles was Christiansen. A 2024 All-American, the sophomore hit .375 with 12 doubles, 11 home runs and 43 RBI. She posted a .517 on-base percentage with 41 walks.
Outfielder Hansen led CSI with a .411 batting average and 36 stolen bases. She posted a .514 on-base percentage with 29 walks on the season. Crowley hit .338 for the Golden Eagles with 10 doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 40 RBI.
In the infield, Yazzie was a workhorse for the Golden Eagles. She posted a .956 fielding percentage at shortstop which is the highest by any CSI Shortstop ever. She also excelled at the plate, hitting .377 with 12 doubles, six home runs and a .497 on-base percentage. Joining her as infield selections were Banning and Heitz. Banning hit .352 with 10 doubles, 10 home runs and an on-base percentage of .457. Heitz led the Golden Eagles in RBI with 55. She hit .319 with six doubles and 12 home runs.
Fuller and Hansen were also selected to the Region 18 All-Tournament Team as well as
Ava Howell and
Alyce Archuleta. Pitcher
Eva Stoddard was named Region 18 Tournament MVP.
The Golden Eagles, 40-14 overall and 28-4 in conference play, head to the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 National Championships next week.Â
