GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's and Women's Rodeo Teams competed Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Mesa Rodeo with just one more regular season Rocky Mountain Region Rodeo left until the College National Finals Rodeo in June.
The Golden Eagles had two individual event winners this past weekend.
Christian Bolli took first first in Saddle Bronc Riding with Joshua Dobbins in sixth and
Brock Briggs in seventh. In Bareback Riding, LaMerrill Winters placed first.Â
The men's team also had scorers in Steer Wrestling where
Chase Andrade placed sixth and Team Roping where
Cade McMurry finished third with a partner from Utah State.
On the women's side,
Macey Moore took third in Breakaway Roping and
Ella Begger finished eighth. The Golden Eagles also scored in Goat Tying with a fourth-place finish from
Hailey Gibbs.Â
With one rodeo left, the CSI Men's Team stands in sixth and the Women's Team is in fourth but just 50 points behind second-place Utah Valley.
The Golden Eagles travel to Spanish Fork, Utah April 25th and 26th for the final rodeo hosted by Utah Valley University.
