PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to USU Eastern 9-0 Saturday before bouncing back with the 8-0 win to end the four-game series in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles two hits in game one came from
Tayson Howard and
Brexten Starley. On the mound,
Mason Hartle took the loss, pitching the first three innings and giving up four earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout.
Caden Fenger pitched three innings and gave up two earned runs on five hits with one strikeout.Â
Game two was all CSI. The Golden Eagles scored eight runs highlighted by a a
Jack Ryan three-run home run.
Jack Barker was 2-for-3,
Kason O'Neil was 2-for-4 with a double,
Mack Evans was 1-for-2 with a double and
Trey Purser was 1-for-3.Â
Bryce Intagliata earned the win on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings and giving up no runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.
Degan Rigby pitched 2.2 innings and gave up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts.
CSI, 25-15 overall and 3-5 in conference play, travels to league-leading Salt Lake CC next week.Â
