TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team fell to CNCC 5-3 before bouncing back to take game two 10-2 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles led 3-1 in the first game going into the sixth inning but the Spartans put four runs on the board, three of them unearned.
Calvin Morrow was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI, while
Trey Purser was 2-for-3.
Bryce Intagliata pitched the first 5.1 innings, giving up three earned runs on one hit with seven strikeouts.
Coleman Bobb took the loss, pitching the final 1.2 innings and giving up no earned runs on one hit with four strikeouts.
CSI held a 6-2 lead in game two going into the bottom of the seventh and then plated four runs to get the run rule and end the game.
Jack Barker was 4-for-5 with a two doubles, a triple and four RBI.
Tayson Howard was 1-for-2 with two RBI and Morrow was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Braxton Biesinger finished 1-for-1 with an RBI.
Mason Hartle got the win, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.
Degan Rigby pitched the final 1.1 for the save, giving up no runs on two hits with one strikeout.
CSI, 24-12 overall and 2-2 in conference play, travels to USU Eastern next week.
